Echo - a photo series on the nature of being - depicts how the self is sometimes a stranger dissolved into an uncanny mirror. For about 6 months in 2019 and 2020 (pre-pandemic,) I was struggling with extreme anxiety and depression, and it seemed my identity was slowly slipping away. I made this photo series of self and self-referential potraits to catalyze my own transmutation: a dissolution and rebirth into a healthier, more accepting body.
